Grade 5/6 Scientist in School

On May 12, Sunnyside's Grade 5/6 students had a Scientist in School presentation called "Clued into Forensic Science". Students got to become an amateur detective or forensic scientist and investigate this classroom caper. They collected and examined clues found at the scene of the crime. Students learned how to analyze fibre samples, take their own fingerprints and examine prints gathered as evidence. They also go to analyze a ransom note using chromatography to identify ink used to create the note.
