Fall Fundraiser

The Sunnyside Community Association decided to take a break from the annual Barn Dance, which has been a major fundraiser for the last several years.  Instead, students will participate in a school wide read-a-thon.  This major fundraiser will involve all students in grades K-6.  Each grade level will be given a set number of minutes to read every day at home for two weeks.  In exchange for reading every day, students will collect donations from parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends. We also encourage students to get support from business owners in the community.  We have purposely planned the fundraiser to take place over Thanksgiving to make it easier to connect with extended family members.  

We are hopeful we can raise $11,000 with this one major fundraiser.  Unlike other fundraisers, 100 percent of the proceeds will go directly to the students.  

Please note that you can receive a tax receipt for your donation of $20.00 and over.  In this case, please make cheques payable to Palliser Regional Schools and they will issue the receipt to you and reimburse the Sunnyside Community Association for the amount of the cheque.  If you don’t require a receipt, please make cheques payable to the Sunnyside Community Association.  Cash is also acceptable.

The fall fundraiser will take place from October 4-18.  We request all money/envelopes returned to the school by October 20.
